I don’t know about you but I NEED to start a new project if I’m going away anywhere. For some reason this is the case even if I have a gazillion WIP’s stashed away already (which I have to confess I do)
Hubby and I are currently in Costa Blanca to visit his elderly uncle who needs a bit of help due to ill health. This wasn’t a planned trip and we only booked it the other day. One of the first things I organised when we booked this is what yarn I needed to pack!
I have a baby blanket which I desperately need to get finished and ship to Florida for a friend but for my own sanity I need a break from this one right now so a new project it must be.
I’ve been wanting to crochet the Flatiron shawl by Toni at TL yarn crafts. I recently crocheted another pattern from Toni which was so easy to follow and I had no hesitation using her patterns again. In fact, I downloaded 3 patterns so I have 2 saved for later! I have quite a stash of hand dyed yarn and I decided to go for 3 skeins of Emma’s Yarn which I have been saving for something special and this shawl seems perfect for it. I am using the Super Silky base in Briar Rose, wish you were beer and Bohemian Market. I love the feeling of starting something new, winding the yarn and choosing a project bag! Probably why I have so many projects I haven’t finished yet- must try harder this year to get some complete.
Progress is slow but so far so good! Will keep you posted.
