Who founded Emma’s Yarn?
Emma Dobratz started to knit when she was just 6 years old. She grew up in a yarn obsessed family in Florida, who also owned a specialty yarn shop. By the time she was 10, she was winning awards at local fairs for her knitting. Emma was home-schooled and this is how her love for dyeing yarn began. Her mother used the dying process to teach her about chemistry and ratios. Alongside her sister and business partner, Aspen, Emma is now one of the most revered indie dyers in the USA.
