What is no-rinse wool wash?
A no-rinse wool wash is exactly what is sounds like! It is a type of liquid laundry wash that is suitable for washing wool.
A huge advantage of this type of wash is that it doesn’t need to be rinsed out of the garment. You can simply soak your garment, gently remove the excess water, and then leave it to dry. This makes the hand-washing process much easier.
Wool wash FAQs
Can I use no-rinse wool wash in the washing machine?
Eucalan Wool Wash can be used for handwashing and machine washing. First, make sure your knitting project can be machine washed! Then use the delicate or wool cycle on your machine and follow the directions on the wool wash bottle.
What is lanolin and why is it in wool wash?
Lanolin is an oily wax that occurs naturally on sheep’s wool. It helps to keep the sheep clean and dry. Most of the time when wool is processed the naturally occurring lanolin is removed so the finished yarn doesn’t feel greasy.
Using a wool wash with lanolin will gently condition the fibres in the wool, just like it does on a sheep! It can make wool feel soft and static-free.
Can I use wool wash on other fibres?
Our Eucalan No Rinse Delicate Wash is suitable for anything that requires a delicate wash, such as lace, silk, or other more fragile materials.
