Superwash wool has undergone a process which makes the material machine washable. After applying a special coating to the outer fibre layers, the yarn becomes more resistant to higher temperatures and less susceptible to felting or shrinking. This makes it much easier to care for garments made out of this type of wool, because you don’t need to remember that they are handwash only.
