Knitting kits for beginners

Kits take the guesswork out of matching a pattern to a yarn and are a great solution for people who aren’t sure about combining colours themselves. A shawl can be a great starter knitting kit, as the patterns tend to be straightforward, and you will have lots of opportunities to build up your skills.

Sock knitting kits

Sock knitting kits are great for a slightly more advanced knitter. Normally with a sock kit you will receive a large skein of the main colour and a smaller skein to use for a contrast colour. The inclusion of the smaller skein means that you will have the perfect amount of yarn for your project.

A sock knitting kit will also include specific sock yarn. This is fine yarn that is tightly spun and includes some nylon. Sock yarn is designed to hold up to more wear and tear than other yarns.

Shawl knitting kits

Shawls are a great was to show off hand-dyed yarn. They are a versatile accessory and suitable in a wide range of climates and seasons. Our shawl knitting kits include a pattern and all the yarn you need to make it.
