Sky Trail Shawl Knitting Pattern by Gavin Alexander - Printed Booklet

The Sky Trail Shawl is a gently expanding garter and eyelet wrap designed to evoke the sense of an endless horizon - a trail through open skies.

Worked mainly in garter stitch with rhythmic eyelet columns and soft garter stripes, this shawl is meditative to knit and easy to wear.

Choose a dreamy main shade with two small pops of contrast for stripes that shimmer like sunlight breaking through the clouds.

The triangular shawl uses a 100g skein of Market Town Yarns Squishy Sock yarn as the main colour together with 2 contrasting mini skeins of the same yarn.

The design is completed with an eyelet bind-off which complements the main pattern perfectly. This bind off sounds difficult to do but is in fact relatively easy and fun.
