  • Urth Yarns is a family owned yarn company specialising in hand dyed natural yarns. They value the time and emotional investment that go into hand crafting; therefore appreciate your demand for a comforting feel and yummy colours. Developing and employing innovative dyeing techniques, their aim is for a love at first sight or touch, every time.

Mass production made us forget how to use our hands and bring out our individuality. Human touch makes all the difference. Knitting and crocheting are good for the body, the mind but also for the earth as a means of sustainable clothing production. Raise your needles and hooks if you are with us!

All of Urth yarns are dyed and prepared by skilled hands of women at their studios in Mersin and Istanbul. Through their extensive sample knitting program, they try to keep busy as many hands as we can.

    TREES FOR THE FUTURE

Now is the time to give back. We are happy to let you know that knitting is just another way to keep the earth green. Every skein of Urth Yarns plants a tree. Join us in helping Trees for the Future in their mission to provide families with tools and knowledge to plant trees in Africa. For more information, visit our "Trees" section.

"Planting trees provides families with more than just food. It provides income, empowerment, unity, leadership, education and even saves lives. When we can teach people to value themselves and their environment, they see amazing improvements in their standard of living."
