  • This stunning knitted blanket has been designed by Debbie Bliss and Chloé Elizabeth Birch for West Yorkshire Spinners.

    It takes inspiration from William Morris's similarly named heritage design and comprises panels bearing striking motifs which are worked using intarsia and stranded colourwork knitting techniques.

    The kit contains 14 balls of West Yorkshire Spinners Morris DK and pattern. Once completed, the blanket measures approximately 81cm (32in) by 81cm (32in). 

    Included in the knitted blanket kit are:

    6 x 50g balls of Morris DK in Blackthorn
    3 x 50g balls of Morris DK in Strawberry
    1 x 50g ball of Morris DK in Yew
    1 x 50g ball of Morris DK in Daisy
    1 x 50g ball of Morris DK in Marigold
    1 x 50g ball of Morris DK in Hyacinth
    1 x 50g ball of Morris DK in Rose
    Printed pattern

    Morris DK is a special collaboration with the William Morris Society. It is a Double Knitting (DK) weight which is made using three quality British fleeces; lustrous and luxurious Bluefaced Leicester, soft and durable Bluefaced Kerry Hill, and the rustic and charming Masham. 

    Materials required (not included in this kit):

    A pair of 3.25mm knitting needles (or long circular needle)
    A pair of 4mm knitting needles (or long circular needle)
